"Great stay in the Casa Mahalo property! Clean, modern furnishings, comfortable beds, and responsive service. My family of 6 ranging in ages from 9-months to 60+ greatly enjoyed the property, the pool, the 5-minute walk to the beach and the fun at Siesta Key Villages just a block from our unit. Our first time to the area and we really enjoyed it.

"Location is perfect. Right behind Gilligans bar/restaurant. Golf cart place right next door as well. 20-30min drive to Sarasota. Place was very clean, plenty of space for 11 people, service from host is fantastic. Anytime we asked for something we had it done very quickly. The only thing that was not taken care of was the beach cabana (only complaint!). Place is beautiful, pool is a good size, ping pong table, bikes, beach chairs, wagon, about 10-15min walk to beach. Overall 5 stars and worth the stay with the location.

Hi Rob, Thank you so much for your thoughtful five-star review! We’re thrilled the home provided plenty of room for your group of 11 and that you enjoyed the pool, ping pong table, bikes, beach gear, and fantastic location near the Village. We also truly appreciate your kind words about our team’s quick and responsive service. We’re sorry the beach cabana concern was not resolved during your stay and appreciate you bringing it to our attention. It means so much that, overall, you found the home and location well worth the stay. We hope to welcome your group back again! Warm regards, Guest Services Team

Great stay and very helpful hosts!

Review Date: January 14, 2026

"Great stay and very helpful hosts! Would stay here again! The only reason for the four stars is that the sun never touched the pool. It was warmed and the host did turn up the heater for us, but our group likes to sun bathe. We did walk to the beach which was literally like 5minutes away to solve this problem. The beds were very comfortable too!

"From the cupcakes waiting in the fridge on arrival for my birthday weekend trip, to the easy communication and gorgeous, well maintained property, I have nothing but great things to say about this place. The only inconvenience we experienced was the pool being completely empty upon checkin and wasn't filled until an entire day later which was a bummer. Other than that, we will be back in the future.

"We had a great week at Casa Mahalo and would highly recommend. We even had an issue with a toilet one day, reached out to the mgmt company and it was fixed within a matter of hours. The house was well stocked with everything you need for the beach. The bikes could use a little TLC- everytime they were Attempted to be used the chains popped off within a matter of minutes but that didn't affect our stay.

Condo was very clean and it had everything that we needed.

Review Date: December 12, 2024

"Location was excellent. Condo was very clean and it had everything that we needed. The only negative that we had was during checking with gaining access into the condo. However, the “on call” person was very responsive and reset the door keypad for us over the phone. We will definitely book again with the cottages for our future visit.

Can't say enough about how responsive the management team was (via text and phone) to responding to questions we had.

Review Date: September 9, 2024

"Casa Mahalo / Big Kahuna was just what our group needed to get away from hectic work and school scedule. Siesta key village is a laid back vibe and this house supported that. The pool here was great to come back to after several hrs at the beach. On our last day there, maintenance came to clean up some of the foliage around the pool which was needed because the pool area was slightly too shaded and felt like it increased mosquito activity. House was clean upon arrival, though there were baby ants on the counters when no food was out. Management was very responsive and left kid/pet safe ant spray and liquid ant traps to help us out. Can't say enough about how responsive the management team was (via text and phone) to responding to qurstions we had, even sending someone over the holday weekend, to fix the elevator. Would definitely stay here again given the mgmt. team responsiveness and the central location to the village shops and quick walk to the beach.

"Things didn't start out perfectly. But this is the type of company that you want to do business with. They were quick to listen and quick to help. After my stay, they asked what could have been better and showed me the passion they had for their guests and properties. I appreciated the integrity and communication. Terrific mattresses, amazing location for the village and the beach. Well maintained private pool. A great spot for big families to visit the best beach in N America.

Book it! It's a great space with high ceilings and a private elevator.

Review Date: May 15, 2024

"Book it! It's a great space with high ceilings and a private elevator. Open floor plan with good size rooms. The kitchen wasn't fully stocked with typical things you need like salt and pepper, but they were responsive and got it to us as quickly as possible. The best part is that it's super walkable to the beach (public beach #2 and #5) and bars and restaurants. There's a grocery store 2 mins away. We'll be back!

The location is PERFECT

Review Date: February 22, 2024

"I would rate this as a 4.8 if it were an option...The location is PERFECT, behind the main drag with all of the shops and restaurants and one block to beach access. The extras- heated pool, 4 bikes, beach chairs w/wagon to haul everything, W/D, ping pong table, were in good shape and greatly appreciated. That being said, we had several not so minor problems, all of which were handled promptly after notifying the management company. The keyless entry system worked fine on all but the door to get into the unit, fortunately we were able to get in via the elevator! It would have been easy to reprogram it remotely as soon as we spoke with them, but they opted to send a maintenance worker out the next day. When we attempted to use the bikes, we had to have them return to fix all of the seats and handlebars because they were dangerously loose and required tools to tighten. That was quickly resolved, as was the water dispenser in the refrigerator that stopped working on day three (the tap water in Florida is horrible). While working on that, it became apparent that the disposal had a leak, again fixed right away. Overall, it didn’t ruin our vacay, but that was a lot of things to go wrong and I believe in honest reviews and count on that when I am making a decision. I prefer refillable environmentally sustainable toiletries to the starter kits with multiple little plastic bottles in each room, and a soap dish vs leaving the wet bar on the counters to get slimy. Still recommend 100%!
