"My husband and I spent a little over a week at Palm Shade Cottage while celebrating our 26th wedding anniversary, and it was absolutely perfect. We were welcomed with a bottle of red wine and delicious cupcakes, which was such a thoughtful touch. The cottage offered much more space and comfort than a hotel room. The master bedroom was spacious, the bed was very comfortable, and the two full bathrooms made getting ready easy. We also appreciated having a washer and dryer available. The living room was cozy and inviting, and while we didn't use the kitchen much, it was well stocked and convenient. We especially appreciated finding cold packs in the freezer for our beach outings. The cottage provided everything needed for the beach, including chairs, towels, coolers, and a cart. The beach was just a short walk away, and Beach Access #11 worked best for us.The location was ideal, with easy access to the Village by foot or Frog Hop. The walk was pleasant and a great way to get familiar with the neighborhood. From booking through checkout, the entire process was seamless. The Cottage on the Key team was responsive, helpful, and quick to address the one issue we had with the washing machine, resolving it within hours. We highly recommend Palm Shade Cottage and The Cottage on the Key to anyone looking for a cozy, comfortable, and convenient stay on Siesta Key.

"My husband and I had the pleasure of spending a little over a week at the Palm Shade Cottage, and it was perfect for us. We were celebrating our 26th wedding anniversary and were welcomed with a lovely bottle of red wine and some delicious cupcakes in the fridge—YUMMO! We loved having the extra space that this cozy cottage provided, something we would not have had in a hotel or resort room. The cottage had all the amenities we needed and more. The master bedroom was very spacious, the bed was extremely comfortable, and the water pressure and temperature were perfect. Having two full bathrooms—one on the first floor and one on the second—made getting ready to go out much easier. We also appreciated having a washer and dryer available. The living room was comfortable and inviting, with a cozy couch for relaxing. While we did not use the kitchen much, it was nice to have a table and all the necessities if needed. We were also happy to find cold packs in the freezer, which were especially helpful for trips to the beach. Speaking of the beach, the cottage provided everything we needed, including chairs, towels, coolers, and a cart to transport it all. The beach is a short and easy walk away. We found Beach Access #11 worked best for us, especially after it had rained. The cottage is also conveniently close to the Village. We either walked or took the Frog Hop with no issues. The walk itself is pleasant and gives you a chance to become familiar with the neighborhood. The entire process, from booking to check-out, was seamless and simple. The Cottage on the Key staff was extremely responsive to every email and text I sent and always provided helpful suggestions when asked. We did have an issue with the washing machine, but after I texted them, they responded quickly and resolved the problem within hours. I would highly recommend The Cottage on the Key and Palm Shade Cottage to anyone looking for a cozy, quaint place to stay on Siesta Key.

"Overall, it was a great place to stay. Very close to the beach and village. House was clean and welcoming, pool was great. Few minor things: The place was smaller than expected, not enough sofa seating for 4 guests and the bathroom sinks were clogged. Otherwise, a perfect trip and would stay again!

Very nice place.

Review Date: January 19, 2026

"Very nice place. Good location but a walk to the ocean. Only because Siesta Key beach is so wide. Pool and pool area were nice but shared with the other unit which is larger and on the pool. Beach was beautiful. Place was perfect for two people. Maybe with two small kids. Close enough to walk to village for most people. 15 minutes. Parking in village is expensive. Good food options.

"This was the perfect tiny house with character. The location couldn't be better; a block to the beach and a short walk to the village and all it offers. Very clean, and well equipped. The heated pool was a big plus and great way to unwind. Can't say enough good about the communication from this rental company.
