Sink Your Toes Into These Amazing Siesta Key Beaches

When you’re planning a vacation to Siesta Key, there are so many fun things that you can see and do with your family. Enjoy some delicious local seafood at a quaint restaurant, rent a bike and pedal throughout the island to get some exercise and fresh air, or make a day trip to Sarasota to discover an abundance of museums, shops, and more! However, a trip to Siesta Key wouldn’t be complete without spending some time on the beach!

Luckily, it’s pretty easy to make it to the shore from any one of our Siesta Key beachfront rentals. Here’s everything you’ll need to know about getting to the best Siesta Key beaches during your trip!

Public Beach Access Points

Siesta Key beaches are world-renowned for their beautiful waters and soft sands, and once you visit for yourself, you’ll understand why! TripAdvisor’s Traveler’s Choice Awards named Siesta Beach as the #1 Beach in the USA! Siesta Key is eight miles long in total, meaning that there’s plenty of shoreline for everyone to enjoy. You can choose one of the convenient public beach access points at Siesta Key Village, Crescent Beach, and Point of Rocks to get here.

Siesta Key Village

Siesta Key Village is perhaps best known for its shopping and dining opportunities. Still, it’s also a great place to access the beach! Before you head to the shore, be sure to check out the fantastic shops to pick up any last-minute beach equipment or to find a unique souvenir. You can also grab a quick snack or sit down to a full meal at one of the amazing restaurants to be found here. Then, you can use the convenient public beach access point to make your way to the water!

Siesta Key Village has easy access to four different access points, so plenty of places to get to the water. Access #2 offers only street parking and is at the intersection of Beach Road and Avenida Messina. Access #3 is available by pedestrian access only and is at the intersection of Beach Road and Columbus Boulevard. Access #4 has about 4-6 parking spaces at the intersection of Beach Road and Avenida Navarra. Finally, Access #5 is by far the biggest, with parking for 20-30 vehicles. This access point is located at the intersection of Beach Road and Ocean Boulevard.

Crescent Beach

Crescent Beach is a smaller public beach access point, only having enough parking space for about 20 vehicles. But if you get here early or you walkthrough, you’ll be able to experience one of the most stunning Siesta Key beaches! Keep in mind, though, that there is no lifeguard on duty here, so make sure you and your kids are staying safe while you’re in the water.

Many visitors come to Crescent Beach to enjoy sunbathing, fishing and watching birds. You can get here by heading to the Stickney Point Bridge, just across the street from Captain Curt’s Crab and Oyster Bar. If you’re looking to enjoy a great meal before or after your time on the beach, this is a great access point to turn to! You can access the beach here from 6 a.m. to midnight.

Point of Rocks

Want an even more secluded place to access Siesta Key beaches? Head to the Point of Rocks. This access point has no parking whatsoever and is only available for pedestrian access. Luckily, it’s relatively easy to find since it’s located on the Point of Rocks Road (easy to remember, right?). You can get on the beach here from 6 a.m. to midnight.

When you arrive, you’ll find opportunities for some of the best snorkeling on the island, as well as other activities like fishing, bird watching, and sunbathing. The waters are usually pretty calm, so you might even get to see dolphins and manatees playing in the waves! If you’re a fan of the TV show Siesta Key on MTV, you can come here to see the incredible home that’s featured on the show. This is one access point you won’t want to miss!
