With convenient and frequent service between downtown Sarasota, St. Armands Circle, and Lido Beach, three world-class destinations are connected into one cohesive opportunity for dining, nightlife, arts, leisure, and recreation.
With the Bay Runner, you’re in control of your day. Enjoy dinner downtown, capped off by an open-air ride across the bay for sunset, or finish a day at the beach with a quick ride downtown to catch a show. The possibilities are endless, and it’s all up to you.
The Route

If you’re coming from Downtown, The Bay Runner’s starting point (at Main St. and School Ave.) will take you down the length of Main Street, so at any point, feel free to jump off to check out a restaurant or shop before heading out to the beach for the day.
From downtown, you’ll venture across the picturesque Ringing Bridge onto Bird Key, then Lido Key, where the trolley will take you around the famous St. Armand’s Circle. Jump off and grab a bite to eat at one of the many restaurants or grab some snacks/refreshments to bring with you to eat on the beach. Next stop, you’ll be dropped curbside at the Lido Beach Public Pavilion or travel further south on Lido key to Ted Sperling Park—both just steps from the beautiful white-soft sands. Rides are free and service runs consistently throughout the day.
For your convenience, the trolley runs its round trips every 20 minutes from 8 a.m. to 12 a.m. every day!
